2019 Digz 4 Kidz Sponsored Family

Meet the Pohl’s:

For 8 years, Jenny Pohl had been advocating for an organization called Reece’s Rainbow.  Reece’s Rainbow raises adoption grants for waiting children with special needs around the world.  Initially Jenny was only interested in being a guardian angel/advocate for the organization but fell in love with a child name “Sealey”. Sealey was severely disabled and was being provided minimal care in unbearable living conditions. By the time Jenny and her husband committed to and were approved to adopt Sealy, they were notified he passed away.

Although heartbroken, this did not deter the Pohl’s from wanting to adopt. At the ages of 54 and 61 and with a 16 year old son of their own, the Pohl’s started the process to adopt not one but TWO children, both with cerebral palsy from the Ukraine. Viktor (Vik) and Nikolai (Nik), both 11 years old, made it to their new forever home October 7th, 2018 and the Pohls are committed to provide them with the best life ever!

The money raised for the Pohl family will help them to purchase a wheelchair accessible van and lift so they can more easily get around and make it to medical appointments, school, etc. Any additional funds will go towards other needed equipment, medical expenses and to build ramps or other home re-modeling efforts that would help the boys get around.
