- Men play in backrow for that entire game. Do not need to rotate
- Women do not serve
- A male can go up and set, but no attacking or dumping
- If a male contacts the ball and it goes over the net while in front of 10′ line, it must have a clear upward trajectory

- The team with highest point differential between the men’s and women’s game, will win the 3rd point for each match.
- Same rules apply as above for tournament play. Point differential will determine the winner of each match. A 3rd game will not be played, unless you are tied after the women’s and men’s game.
- Example: First match played on women’s net: Team A wins 25-20…2nd match played on men’s net: Team B wins 25-24….Team A wins that match and moves on because they won by 5 (women’s) and lost by 1 (men’s): Pt differential of +4

- Some rules from general rules section apply in addition to rules below
- There is no overlapping fault for rotation, but you must rotate servers
- Only 3 of the 4 players can attack in front of the 10′ line.
- Your opponent needs to know who these 3 players are.
- It is common to have the setter as your player that can’t attack, or some teams will have a “back row” player not attacking in front of 10′ line, but can backrow attack.
- You can switch who your “down” player is, mid-match, but your opponent must be made aware.
- Think of it as, you can’t have 4 attackers in 6’s volleyball, same is true in 4’s volleyball.
- Any player can block at the net.
- Open hand tipping is NOT allowed. You must attack, roll shot, or “knuckle” the ball over
- Directional blocking is allowed. Only during a block attempt.
- Set overs must go in a direction perpendicular to the setters body (A setter may not angle their set over).
- If the ball is set over (with two hands), the ball must land in the direction the setting player is facing and the ball MUST have an upward trajectory.
- The setting player must be facing the direction the ball lands (no setter dumps).
- You can receive the serve and “free balls” with open hands.
